The 14th International Congress of the Middle East African Council of Ophthalmology (MEACO)
The Jordanian Ophthalmological Society will host the 14th International Congress of the Middle East African Council of Ophthalmology (MEACO), which will be held in collaboration with the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO), the Royal Jordanian Medical Services and Jordan Tourism Board.
MEACO is one of the four global organisations of the ICO and the executive body of the International Federation of Ophthalmological Societies (IFOS). Notably, 36 National Ophthalmic Societies in 32 different countries of the Middle East and Africa region are members of the MEACO Congress; making it the largest international organisation worldwide. Held every three years, MEACO attracts ophthalmologists, eye care professionals, and medical companies regionally and internationally.
Consequently, 4000 participants are expected to attend the congress, as MEACO 19 will feature an unparalleled scientific program that is enriched in content. The program is expected to be more stimulating and exciting, especially with the assembly of more than 100 international speakers and faculties from elite ophthalmologists and 400 regional speakers who are invited to share their experiences.
Lastly, a large trade exhibition will be held parallel to the conference, in which the major manufacturers will present their latest scientific findings of medical devices and surgical equipment.
