Mid-Optic is thrilled to announce its sponsorship of a 10th Guide Dog puppy, Lola. This significant milestone underscores the company's ongoing commitment to supporting the Guide Dogs charity and enhancing the lives of those with vision impairments.
Lola, a confident, calm and cheeky Labrador, joins a distinguished lineage of sponsored puppies, including Cassie, Harley, Finley, Dexter, Belle, Barley, Mia, Tilly, and Willow. Each of these dogs has gone on to provide invaluable companionship and assistance to their handler.
For over 20 years, Mid-Optic has partnered with Guide Dogs as its corporate charity, working together to support individuals with vision impairments.
The funds to support these guide dog sponsorships are generated through the sale of Mid-Optic's officially endorsed Guide Dog ready readers, lens cloths and lens cleaning sprays. Additionally, Mid-Optic raises funds through various employee activities.
By choosing Mid-Optic as their optical supplier, customers play a crucial role in supporting the training and development of Guide Dogs like Lola.
Excitingly, Mid-Optic's sister company, Altomed, is a year into their corporate partnership with Guide Dogs. News about their first Guide Dog sponsorship will be announced soon, marking another step forward in the shared commitment to enhancing the lives of those with vision impairments.
Mid-Optic will provide regular "pupdates" on Lola's progress, sharing her growth, training milestones, and adventures as she prepares to become a Guide Dog.
To celebrate Lola’s sponsorship, Mid-Optic encourages everyone to look out for their latest catalogue featuring Lola on the front cover, arriving in the post shortly if you have not already received this. The catalogue can also be downloaded from Mid-Optic's website.
In addition, Mid-Optic are joining sister company Altomed in donating £10 to Guide Dogs for every reusable Volk lens purchased* (See website for T&Cs) with the option to include the officially endorsed Guide Dog paw print engraving for free.
