The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Auckland and Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand have openings for the following Senior Clinical Research Fellowships: (1.0 FTE / 40 hours per week).

 

Glaucoma: August 2025 – July 2026

Paediatric Ophthalmology: August 2025 – July 2026

Cornea and Anterior Segment: February 2026 – January 2027

Medical Retina: August 2025 – July 2026

Uveitis: July 2025 – June 2026 (possibility of 1 or 2 positions depending upon funding)

***Oculoplastics (supervisor Dr Brian Sloan): January 2026 to December 2026 (interviews for this post will be held in early 2025)

Oculoplastics (Supervisor Dr Richard Hart): November 2025 start, with an option to take: 1. 9 month fellowship from November 2025 to July 2026 OR 2. 20 month fellowship from November 2025 to June 2027

General Ophthalmology with a special interest in Paediatric Ophthalmology (Counties Manukau District Health Board): February 2025 January 2026 (0.8 FTE, 32 hours/week)
