SightCare, the trusted partner to independent optical practices in the UK, announces that Martin Smith has stepped down as Chair and that Vice Chair, Garrey Haase succeeds him with immediate effect.
Martin has served as Chair with dedication, providing reliable stewardship of the organisation through both industry developments and the unprecedented challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. Under his leadership, SightCare has strengthened its support for independent opticians, helping them navigate an ever-evolving landscape.
Garrey Haase, who has served as Vice Chair since February 2023, brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the independent optical sector. Speaking on his appointment, Garrey said: “It is an honour to step into the role of Chair at SightCare.
