The UK Eye Genetics Group is now accepting applications for a new Seedcorn Award, offering up to £5,000, to support early career researchers in conducting innovative projects focused on the diagnosis, understanding, prevention, management and treatment of genetic eye diseases. Applicants should present a novel hypothesis along with preliminary data that can be further developed to achieve future patient benefit.
The scheme is open to early career researchers (ECR) in clinical and pre-clinical fields who are members of the UK Eye Genetics Group. For this call, we define an early career researcher as a student or trainee (including post-doctoral researchers). Individuals who have transitioned to independence (for example, holds a personal fellowship, employed at Lecturer or Consultant level, or achieved tenure) are not eligible.
